How a starter works
The starter motor is an essential component of the vehicle, driven by the battery, converting electrical energy into mechanical energy to start the engine. When the driver turns the ignition key, electrical current flows to the starter motor, which engages with the engine’s flywheel to crank the engine until it starts.
Once the engine is running, the starter motor disengages and stops working. It is designed for short bursts of operation; prolonged use can lead to overheating and damage. In summary, the starter motor is crucial for initiating engine operation by converting battery power into the necessary mechanical force.
